Beautiful and sad story from Tom , Thank you! ❤ Many years ago, Jan (Jens' father) invited me to Jens' room, there were big Marschal boxes and guitars. Jan and me did sessions and jamming. We were walking in the forest with our wives. We talked about various topics and already then Jan said that he was sick and after short time we received the sad news that he had left this world. .... Our session always remains in my mind, that's how I remember it. .... A few years later, we received even sadder and unexpected news about the tragic death of Jens, not an afterthought..... Unfassbar gut. Meine Tochter hat mir diesen jungen Kerl gezeigt, ich kannte ihn gar nicht. Wir haben ihn in Frankfurt live erlebt. Also ich konnte nicht mehr still sitzen. Wie kann man soviel Dinge auf einmal machen um für Stimmung zu sorgen. Gitarre, Gesang, Mundharmonika, so fetzig. Das Beste was ich live gesehen habe. Super cooler Typ und so ein sympathischer Mensch. Ich würde platzen vor Stolz wenn es mein Jung wäre :-)

outstanding song, but I think he needs a new accoustic. maybe one that will put up with the drastic pitch shifts and the percussive hits every night. It seems like it's taking a toll on it if you scan to some new versions. I've heard a lot of his live stuff and it gets worse and worse! granted, at this point it may be getting to a willy nelson/trigger type of thing, where it buzzes, it mutes, it does all sorts of nastiness but that's the charm of the old friend you know so well and won't put away.
